Creation of a company-wide template for
SAP ERP, SAP APO
Project description:
The client engaged our team as its global partner to create a company-wide template for SAP ERP, SAP APO and SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse (BW).
The project included the transformation and alignment of primary and secondary processes (finance, distribution, production, equipment maintenance, quality management and master data processing) at ten production sites in Russia with 6,000 end users.
The project also sought to deploy the global PIRT template in the market with additional solutions relevant to local markets, to improve the accuracy of demand forecasts, to enable the timely and accurate manufacturing of finished goods and the execution of delivery plans, and to ensure the integration of the planning system with legacy systems (including SAP ECC).
Results
Payables handling processes were centralized through a shared service center with established image processing infrastructure.
The adoption of SAP APO improved the accuracy of statistical demand forecasts, manufacturing of finished goods and delivery plans. It also helped integrate demand, manufacturing and delivery plans into a single system interfaced with existing external and SAP systems.
