SAP ERP

Client challenge:

  • The client is the world’s largest high-grade nickel and palladium producer. The SAP program was established in 2013–2014 and is one of the most dynamic, complex and successful ERP programs in the industry. Despite the implementation of the first main stage of template development, a fairly large number of business requirements for various reasons were outside the scope of the template.

Key Objectives and Scope:

  • Implementation of new business requirements in the template with a release-based approach. The total amount of new functionality implemented amounted to ~ 25,000 man days within 20 releases.
  • Onboarding of 6 new companies into the template located in different territories (Switzerland, China, US, Russia)

Our Approach:

  • 20 releases and 20 go-lives (one go-live every 3 months).
  • Hybrid methodology — blending traditional waterfall delivery with Agile methods on release basis.
  • Implementation of rolling planning to manage teams for demand and capacity.
  • Implementation of requirements only with proven economic effect/estimation of actual effect after implementation of release.
